Northeast Lakeview College (NLC) Purchases Former PNC Building to Expand Offerings at its New Braunfels Location

Northeast Lakeview College is excited to announce that the Alamo Colleges District has purchased the former PNC Bank building located at 2049 Sundance Pkwy (near FM 306 intersection) in New Braunfels, TX. Once updates and renovations are complete, NLC will relocate from its current New Braunfels location at the Central Texas Technology Center (2193 FM758), expanding educational opportunities to residents in Comal and Guadalupe Counties.

Since acquiring the current New Braunfels location and holding its first set of courses in Fall 2023, NLC has expanded programming and course offerings and doubled enrollment at this site. Relocating to a larger (58,000 sq. ft.) facility allows Northeast Lakeview College to continue to meet the educational needs of the growing community in this area.

Northeast Lakeview College is one of the five Alamo Colleges with its main campus is located in northeast Bexar County, one of the fastest growing areas in the state, and currently serves northeast San Antonio and residents from Comal and Guadalupe Counties, with about 37% of its students coming from these counties outside of Bexar.

“The Alamo Colleges District is pleased to continue our service in one of the area’s fastest growing regions,” says Dr. Mike Flores, Chancellor of the Alamo Colleges District. “There’s a tremendous value in this partnership to the New Braunfels and Seguin communities and alignment to the education and workforce needs. Students who live in the area will continue to have the opportunity to study high-demand, high-wage career paths under the Alamo Colleges umbrella close to home.”

“We are excited about the opportunity to enhance our offerings in the New Braunfels and Seguin communities”, says Dr. Veronica Garcia, Northeast Lakeview College president.  “NLC continues to expand its footprint in these communities, partnering with New Braunfels ISD and Comal ISD to offer dual credit programs. We are aware of the region's growing economic and workforce demands, and acquiring this larger facility in New Braunfels allows us to ensure our service area residents receive the highest quality education and training necessary to meet these demands.”

Classes will remain at NLC’s current New Braunfels location (2193 FM758) while the college completes building design and undergoes renovations. Initial proposed program and course offerings will include expanded Science and Academic courses, adding Semi-conductor and aligning our engineering and nursing offerings. Northeast Lakeview College at New Braunfels expects to begin holding classes at its new location in Spring 2026.
